AMENDMENT TO THE
CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES: "A well regulated Militia,
being
necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to
keep and
bear Arms, shall not be
infringed."
(It's not about hunting ducks) NOTICE TO THE
PRESIDENT: Sir:
With all due respect, you are running the ragged edge
of losing your core political base. It would appear that
you prefer
New York votes to the security and safety of our Navy and Marine
Forces. You are expanding the Federal role in
education. You are showing no leadership in presenting
free-market
alternatives to our semi-socialized medical system. You cannot
forthrightly standup and defend the Constitution with respect to
“campaign
finance reform”. You are now allowing the Democrat
Politburo to set
the agenda and there is too much kiss-ass with Liberals. I
believe you
are capable of better things, but you need to pull on a pair of pants,
eat some
raw bear meat, and cut the crap about a “new tone in
Washington”. You are
in a war with people who want to destroy you and the
country. Where
is George Patton? Sometimes
things get so bad that it is necessary
to do something even if it's honked up. So it is with the new tax
legislation, and Bush 43 is to be congratulated for making something
happen. The idea of a tax cut to Democrats is so appalling that
they are
absolutely beside themselves. The idea that we have any Federal
income
tax at all is to me totally Fascist. So we got some crumbs, and
the truth
is that, politically, 43 probably did the best he could do. It is
from
this perspective that I contemplate the future. But as I have
indicated
above, now it looks to be all downhill. Well the big
buzz this month has to be the
takeover of the Senate by the Democrat Politburo. It really
should not
make that much substantive difference given that it’s the same
cast of
characters. I have repeatedly made the point since I first wrote
on 11/20/00
that Conservatives were in a squeeze with this Congress, so what has
happened
here is no particular surprise. The change is administrative
(Democrats
vs. Republicans), not substantive (Liberals vs. Conservatives).
Liberals
owned it all along. The downside is that Liberals will be in a better
position
to engage in obstructionist tactics. They have nothing positive
or
constructive to offer, and this should soon be apparent. George
W. should
be learning that he is dealing with street fighters and give up on his
silly
concept of a "new tone in Washington". Under the Constitution
it is still Bush's job to make judicial nominations, not up-Chuck
Schumer's. Meanwhile,
among the upsides and downsides: -Liberals are
revealing themselves publicly as to their true
nature: Statists, without principle or honor. James Jeffords was
elected
by Republicans 6 months ago, and was unwilling, like Phil Graham a few
years
ago, to submit this turn-about to his electorate. -James
Jeffords has made my point about northeastern Republicans
really being a set of croquet playing me-too Liberals in
disguise. I'm
glad to see the cockroach out of the party, and I hope the rest like
him
follow. What we need is more honesty and less pandering to this
bunch.
Maybe it will give honest Conservatives in Vermont, if there are any
left, a
chance to re-group. No easy task. I will follow the
fortunes of
Bret Schundler in New Jersey with great interest, but without illusions. -It sets up
the right conditions to dump the Republican Senate
"leadership". Where is Malcolm
Wallop? -John McCain,
who has no discernable or coherent political
philosophy other than himself can also take a hike. Apparently a
recall
effort has been started by Arizona Republicans. Given that northeastern
transplants have become politically significant in Tucson and Phoenix,
I have
no feel for where a recall might go. What is clear is the danger that
McCain
could become the Ross Perot of 2004 resulting in a Clinton repeat. Timothy
McVeigh is gone, as he should be, but
with timing and under circumstances of extreme convenience to those
with an
interest in "moving on". The FBI is off the hook, and so it is
with Ruby Ridge. Nothing
better represents my concern about
international creeping Statism than the Kyoto Treaty and the so-called
"process" that goes with it. It really has nothing to do with the
"environment". It represents bad science at its worst.
What it is really all about is an international power grab of American
wealth
and sovereignty. No informed American can possibly
support this
neo-fascist measure. If you want a
look into the future of
unrestricted Liberalism then observe the model of the EU (European
Union)
policy makers in Brussels Belgium. Watch Tony Blair destroy Great
Britain. The EU is soft fascism running amok, and a classic
example of my
theory that with the failure of communism all the Statist Lefties are
becoming
fascists. At some point that soft fascism will turn hard.
Keep
pulling that donkey lever and find out. United States
support of peace in the Middle
East would be much more effective if Colin Powell would just shut
up. The
Palestinians are slow learners and they don't need any encouragement
from our
side. The Liberal Press is bad enough. I find the
decision not to sell Taiwan, "at
this time", 4 Aegis equipped destroyers disturbing. Only economic
and political perverts can see an upside
to the continued growth of the U.S. trade deficit. Much of this
hard
currency continues to fund the ChiCom military buildup. Diane
Feinstein,
(D- CA) who do you represent? Robert
Redford needs to find a useful job for
himself, and the Bush Administration needs to cut the crap about
"Compassionate Conservatism". Sucking up to communists
doesn't work. My suggestion
for the bombing range fiasco at
Vieques, Puerto Rico, is to bomb the protesters. Eventually there
will be
none left, depending on our flying skills. Senator Inhofe,
soldier on. John McCain's
bastard legislation to rip apart
the 1st Amendment in the name of "campaign reform" will have to be
stopped. It is flat-out unconstitutional. Nothing better
represents
the irresponsibility of certain members of Congress toward the
Constitution
than this measure, which further empowers the Liberal Statist
press. Real
"campaign reform" consists of lifting all spending restrictions and
then requiring immediate public disclosure of all contributions above a
personally nominal amount. That any of this is even debatable is
a
measure of the success of Statist penetration into the American culture. There are two
issues domestically tearing at the
heart of the Republic: 1) The
current rate of production of little bastards. It is
much too high. Adoption by qualified parents, and orphanages, is the
immediate
response required. 2) The
current rate of production of energy & fuel. It
is much too low. The economy cannot really recover without this matter
being
corrected. Without
correction these twin disasters will
eventually bring down the Republic. I am
delighted that the United Nations has
recently revealed its true colors with a vote removing the United
States from
its "Human Rights Commission". This gang of international
Statists has determined that the Sudan, Sierra Leone and The Peoples
Republic
of China are more worthy defenders of human rights than the United
States. American Statist Liberals are, predictably, blaming
George W.
Bush. However, these domestic Statists will suck up to anyone who
proposes to internationalize the United States out of existence.
The
United Nation's next big thrust will be at private gun ownership by
law-abiding
Americans. Americans really need to begin to connect the dots. It is quite
clear that "Diversity" is
the functional equivalent of what was once referred to as "Jim Crow". John Ashcroft
is to be commended for issuing a
clear statement recognizing the Constitutional fact that gun ownership
is the
prerogative of individuals, not the government. That it was even
necessary for him to do this speaks volumes about the state of American
education, and political gullibility. CURRENT
