There is no doubt about a conservative impact on the mainstream media by talk radio* and, overall, it is a major positive development. What this website is all about, however, is expanding a level of understanding above and beyond, an extended investigation into the substance, and the political possibilities of conservatism. I am not looking for ratings; I am reaching for substance that is frequently scared off by political correctness. Conservatives need to look in the mirror and articulate a comprehensive and integrated statement that is positive, academically sound, and not reactive to collectivist trash. Ronald Reagan prevailed against the USSR with a strategy of roll back, not containment. Talk radio is good at street fighting, but not at in depth analysis.

While talk radio has it's place, and utility, it is not a sound original source, liberal or conservative. The format is not conducive to consideration of in-depth substance, but for immediate reports, it is better than traditional commercial television, and it is interactive. Television indulges the intellectual cop-out of pictures, radio at least requires one to think, even if the idea of the moment may be off course.

This website intends to promote and develop the ability to think by serious students of public and economic policy, and related cultural issues, on a more comprehensive and in depth level.

*NOTE: The largest single talk radio system is the publicly funded NPR (National Public Radio), a decidedly left wing operation.
